If like us you've been watching Lorraine Pascale's new cooking show, you will be chomping at the bit for the next installment, which is all about entertaining. For episode 3 in the Home cooking made easy series, Lorraine will be adopting the belief shared by many in these times of austerity, that staying in is the new going out. There has never been a better time to get the friends over for a good old dinner party, and Lorraine has some great recipes to impress everyone around the dinner table. Every dinner party should begin with canapes, and Lorraine will show you some great simple ideas that will keep you out of the kitchen and with your friends. First on the list are Lorraine's Baked Scotch eggs, swiftly followed by goat's cheese truffles, and finished off with some great little beef wellingtons. Lorraine will show us how to bake a perfect loaf with minimal effort with her 21st century bread recipe. No kneading or rising is necessary with this wonder recipe, and it will go perfectly with the main course. We love Spanish food and so does Lorraine, so we're really happy to see that the main course will be Spanish paella with sherry, chorizo and prawns. This is not just any paella though, this is Lorraine Pascale's paella, so expect it to be rich, flavoursome and simple to make. Paella is a great recipe for entertaining as everyone can just tuck in and share. Dessert comes in the form of an all-time English classic, the good old trifle. Lorraine will be boozing it up a little though, and has aptly named it the Big fat tipsy trifle! Keep your eyes peeled for Lorraine's 3rd show in the Home cooking made easy series on Monday 10 October at 20:30 on BBC Two.
